2024 Service Fees

​

Home Care Services ...........................................................  From $35/visit

  • Home visit rates begin at $35/half hour visit for 1-2 cats 

  • Busier periods such as holidays and school breaks will have an added $10 fee per visit (see rate schedule below) 

  • During major holidays, visits may be slightly shortened depending on volume of bookings. Twice daily visits during holidays are reserved for cats with special needs but may be added to the waitlist if time permits.​

Boarding Services ............................................................ From $250/stay

  • Boarding rates begin at $45/night for 1 cat.

  • Busier periods such as holidays and school breaks will have an added $10 fee per night (see rate schedule below)  

  • Discounted rates available for 2 or more cats from the same household or for long stays. Please contact for a quote.

New client reservations may not be accepted for major holidays and school breaks with the exception of summer break. I want you and your cats' first service experience to be outstanding and stress-free. Established clients are given first priority for peak period bookings. 

 

Add-On Services:
These services are available only as add-ons to reserved care services.

Medication Administration ................................. From $5 - $10/administration

$5 - $10 simple medication administration by hand. Please contact for personal quote for more extensive medication regimens. Injections not available at 

 

Key Transfer ........................................................................ From $15/trip

$15 per trip - no charge if keys are dropped off or picked up at my residence

 

Garden Watering ................................................................. From $10/visit

Water and care for larger indoor gardens and a few containers outside. Most indoor plant watering is included in the service.

Extra Cleaning ................................................................... From $60/visit

Most minor accident and mess cleanup is included in the service, but sometimes there are larger accidents requiring additional time and supplies.

Transportation .................................................................... From $20/trip

Emergency vet visits, supplies runs and kitty transportation. Minimum $20, only available within the service area.

Billing

 

All reservations require a booking deposit to hold space.

Payment in full is due within 3 days of the start of service.

50% of the total reservation may be refunded if given more than 72 hours notice of cancelation. Cancelation policies also apply to shortened reservations.

 

Payments accepted Credit/debit, ACH Bank Transfer, Venmo, Paypal, ApplePay. 

Cash, checks and Zelle may also be accepted after the initial first booking but cannot be accepted for booking deposits. 

Invoices are sent via Quickbooks at least 3 days prior to the start of service. Services do not begin without payment received in full.

Gratuity accepted and always greatly appreciated, but never required/expected. The best "thank you" is always a referral or a positive review on Google.

Scheduling

 

New Clients must request first time reservations through the booking form.

 

Returning clients please schedule directly via email. Text message or verbal requests must be followed up with an email before being added to the schedule. 

​

Boarding Check In/Out

Contact hours are 8am - 7pm every day 

Drop-off/Pick-up hours are typically 11am-4pm by appointment only

Appointments made outside contact hours may be subject to an additional night charge

 

Minimum Reservations 

  • New clients: 5 nights/visits

  • Returning clients: 3 nights or visits

  • Thanksgiving - New Years: 5 nights for boarding, 5 days of home visit service

 

Peak Periods

 Reservations of 5 nights/days of home service are given priority during peak periods such as holidays. There is an additional holiday charge of $5/visit/night for most holidays, $10/visit/night for Christmas and New Years.

February 16 - 25 (Mid Winter break)

April 5 - 14 (Spring Break)

May 24 - 28 (Memorial Day Weekend)

June 21 - September 2 (Summer break + Labor Day)

November 22 - December 1 (Thanksgiving)

December 20 - January 2 (Christmas + New Years)

 

Cancelations

Full refund/no charge if a reservation is canceled at least 5 days in advance. 50% refunded/charged if canceled within 3 days of the start of the reservation. Canceled visits or nights stayed made after the first service date will not be refunded or credited for future reservations.

Holiday Cancelations

Clients should contact me as soon as they know their plans are canceled so that the dates can be filled. Payment may only be refundable up to a 3 weeks before the holiday. Payments may not be applied to future bookings if canceled.

 

Home Visits

 

Initial Consultation

All new clients will need to schedule an in-person consultation meeting in the home so that all instructions and routines can be viewed and discussed. This is also a good chance to ensure that the relationship is a good fit for both the client and me.

 

Daily Visits:

Cats are required to be visited at least once each day a client is away. This is to ensure their health and safety since many emergencies can come up within a 24 hour period.

Call Home/ Early Return

Visit schedules are planned each day with clients' communicated return date and time in mind. There are also certain chores performed on the last visit of service. Clients should please communicate any early return plans as soon as they can, and check in with me once they are home safe with their cat.

 

Parking

Please provide parking instructions before the initial consultation. I will make every attempt to find free parking close to your home but if there are significant ongoing challenges additional time may need to be scheduled.

 

*For personal safety, KP may decline service to an area with unsafe parking or walking conditions.

 

Keys

If your home requires physical keys to access, I can keep a set on file for ongoing/future visits. If you wish to have your keys transferred before and after each reservation, fees may apply. Keys may not be mailed.

 

For apartment buildings, a physical entry device such as key or FOB must be provided if applicable as I am unable to rely on call boxes or leasing offices for entry. 

 

Alternate Caregivers and House Guests

I want to be your primary cat caretaker! But it is always a recommended to have a backup in case of emergencies or the rare occasions I am unavailable. However, I cannot otherwise overlap duties with another caregiver in the same reservation. Please discuss with me before your reservation if you plan to have someone else covering care before or after my scheduled services. 

 

I also ask that clients avoid having guests or visitors in the home during your absence while I am caring for your cat. This is not only for my personal safety, health and insurance, but also to ensure your cat and home are cared for securely. I reserve the right to cancel visits or services at any time if an unscheduled visitor is in the home during the service period.

 

Inclement Weather + Other Emergencies

During extreme snow and ice conditions, I will make every attempt to safely get to your home to care for your kitty. If roads are closed or it is unsafe to pass, clients are notified immediately so that they may implement a backup plan. When extreme weather is forecast, I may reach out ahead of time to discuss options and plans.

In other very rare emergencies where I may not be able to make a home visit due to injury or illness, clients will be notified asap to arrange for your backup to cover care. I do have alternate emergency backup caregivers but they are not guaranteed to be available on short notice. It is strongly advised for clients to also have an emergency backup caregiver as well. 

​

Boarding

 

All Guests are required to be up to date on all vaccines within 2 weeks of their reservation. For the health and safety of all the guests, exceptions cannot be made. Kitty Poppins requires digital copies of official vet records of these vaccinations via email, prior to boarding to ensure that they are prepared for their stay. Flea treatment is required for all guests prior to dropping off, such as Advantage II, Revolution, Frontline or Capstar.

Drop off and pickup by appointment only, typically between 11am - 4pm

Appointments outside of contact hours may be subject to a charge of an additional night

 

Vaccines and tests required

  • FVRCP combo vaccine (this protects against highly communicable respiratory illness among others)

  • Rabies (required by Washington State)

  • FelV (if they go outside unsupervised)

  • Negative test for FelV (SNAP test)- this can be from the shelter or breeder as long as they have not been exposed to outdoor cats since the test was taken. 

 

*For the safety and comfort of your cat, Kitty Poppins also requires new boarding clients to book one day before they leave for their trip and designate an alternate caregiver available should the guest not tolerate the boarding experience. KP cannot host cats with aggressive behavior, excessive stress yowling or spraying. If there is no alternate caregiver available in this circumstance, you will be asked to return to pick up your cat or arrange for boarding at a local vet.

Boarding reservations without a return date are not accepted.
